Gate stuck, slow or dead?
I'm Adrian, the Gate Guy. When an electric gate stops working around Newry, South Armagh, South Down or over the border in Louth, I'm the one people ring. I've spent 25 years on electric gates, and I work from my base on the Silverbridge Road, just outside the city.
Everything about the faults I fix, the brands I work on and how a repair works is on my page about electric gate repairs in Newry.

Three things to check first
- Power. Is the isolator switched on, or has a breaker tripped?
- Photocells. Wipe the two small sensors on either side of the entrance.
- Remote. Try a second remote, or change the battery.
Still not moving? Have a look at electric gate troubleshooting, or just call me. Please don't open the control box – that's a job for an engineer.
